Tunes I'm digging this fine Tuesday, November 25th. Happy Thanksgiving ya'll.
SOME Future pop. Vanic is a producer out of vancouver that is rising fast. His first track that caught my ear was "can't Sleep," a very chill, melodic tune with vocals by k.flay that reminded me a bit of Mike Posner's first album "one foot out the door." Vanic's latest track continues the future pop sound, but with a darker vibe. His production chops are top notch, but his songwriting is sure to have you coming back for more.
Something to drop on 'em.
Audien did a fantastic job in this remix of Michael Jackson's "slave to the rhythm." A classic tune with dramatic MJ vocals building you up, and then Audien just slams home the drop with a bassy synth that will destroy dance floors across the globe. Very BIG. (Sorry, but the full version is not publicly available.)
Some Real Sick House.
Bixel Boys are one of my favorite production duos right now. Some would say their sound is underground but they know how to throw down in a big way. So much style and bounce in this track with Theophilus London and Jesse Boykins III. Real, real sick.
Something to chill out and groove to.
Chordashian is one of the best tropical/indie-sounding house groups out there, and they've really narrowed in on a sound unique to them that is full of flavor and positive vibes. This track, "Skyscraper Souls," feat. Freedom Fry is just a classic feel-good tune, and will take your mind away from this crap weather and to the beach for a good 5 minutes.
SO Turnt. Gotta throw a trap banger on this week's Tune up, so I went with the Gent & Jawns remix of Bro Safari x UFO's "Burn the block." Trippy synths, massive subs and chopped up biggie vocals will have your head spinning. Turn up indeed.
